Frank Girardot over at the San Gabriel Valley News brings us new information on the case of Isaac Campbell and Liya "Jesse" Lu, whose body was found stuffed in a fifty gallon drum and covered with kitty litter. Mr. Campbell allegedly did the stuffing.
Seems an extradition hearing is scheduled for December 6th. Bring out your pitchforks, folks. He's a-comin' home.

He's not sure if hacks talk about themselves in the third person, though. That might just be a side effect of his meds.
His first novel, a dark urban fantasy titled CITY OF THE LOST will be coming out January 3rd, 2012 through DAW Books and will be available at all the fashionable bookstores. Hopefully some of the seedier ones, too.
His short stories and poetry have appeared in Plots With Guns, Needle, Spinetingler, Thrilling Detective, Shots, Demolition, Clean Sheets , Flashing In The Gutters and a couple of anthologies with authors far better than he is.
Occasionally he gets off his fat ass and helps edit (i.e. reads slush) NEEDLE: A MAGAZINE OF NOIR. You should buy a copy. Really. It's good.

Still no cause of death? Am still wondering how it can be that he is not back in ca yet its been about 3 months since he was caught. Also wondering why this still has not had any news coverage...Anyway
You're right. MN does suck in the winter. Not sure the solution lies in a 55-gal drum with kitty litter though. Scotch, maybe, kitty litter no.
I haven't heard anything on cause, either because I'm not paying attention as well as I should (likely) or they still have that under wraps for the trial (not so likely).
As to the 3 month thing, that's hardly surprising. They're not going to send him back until a judge hears it and decides.
I'm sure they've got a plenty full docket and he's got a lawyer who's happy to file motion after motion to delay.
And as to news coverage, well, I'm not sure what to tell you.
He's hit the radar of the San Gabriel Valley News (Frank Giradot seems to be watching this one like a hawk), but hasn't gotten too much elsewhere.
I suspect a lot of that is simply because there's no new news. "Yep, Campbell's still in jail waiting for extradition in Minnesota. Next, fifteen killings in Compton tonight, a new record!"
Audiences tend to have attention spans akin to OCD ferrets.
He has a court date today at the alhambra court house...Wondering if any new facts arise...
