Beware The Routine Traffic Stop

Glendale, CA

Sarkis "Sako" Militonyan, 44, was pulled over for straddling lanes in a Chevy Tahoe without plates. Of course, it was the stolen California driver's licenses, social security numbers and bank routing numbers that really did him in. Seems he was wanted on fraud charges, too, after being accused of bilking Medicare for five million dollars, and walking away with one and a half.

You'd think he could afford some driving lessons. Or plates.

Clearly, this is a man who doesn't understand the meaning of phrases like "lying low", "flying under the radar", "left hand turn lane". I'm not sure what this says about the state of our healthcare when this moron can work the system for that much money. Probably sent the forms written in crayon.

So watch out for the "routine traffic stop" folks. It brings down murderers, drug dealers, and child molesters. This one's my favorite.

And what really pisses me off is that those of us who really DO need the healthcare and disability get dragged through the mud by the government and treated as if we're just lazy bums trying to get a free ride. Something is seriously wrong with the system when obvious idiots can cheat the system while those who legitimately need help (some of whom I know personally and are NOT idiots by any stretch of the imagination) lose everything just trying to get a measly $1000 a month from the government because they are too sick to work. My husband and I wonder if they drag it out to see if most of us will die before they have to shell out some money.

OK, a little off the subject, but you hit a sore spot. Especially when THIS fool seems to have the IQ of a coconut and got away with it, at least for awhile (what I could do with 1.5 million...pay off medical bills, get proven treatment that insurance won't pay for because it is too expensive, buy medicine, pay rent/mortgage, maybe get better so I can actually WORK again...gee).

Now look what you did. You have a seriously pissed off cripple on your hands.

"You have a seriously pissed off cripple on your hands."

And if those words don't strike fear into the hearts of lawmakers, I don't know what will.

Even though it's guys like this one who are contributing to the problem and making the system worse, it's still the system that's built in such a way that it can be easily exploited.

Medicare, mortgage fraud. What's next? Probably start seeing social security fraud get more popular. And bigger than just cashing somebody else's checks.

Let me get this straight.

This guy gets nailed for a stupid traffic violation, which escalates because he's carrying other people's information that he, or anyone for the matter, shouldn't have. Then gets hit with a parole violation because he's got ammunition, supposedly for a gun because you sure as hell wouldn't play badminton with it, in his home.

And what was he on parole for? Property theft and attempted extortion.

Oh, and he's been on the lam for fraud after allegedly hammering 5 million from Medicare, which comes out of all of the rest of our pockets.

And he's the victim?

He is NOT the victim. There is a universal law of cause and effect, and his arrest is the effect. What goes around comes around, sooner or later he was gonna pay. Love the article Stephen.
